Social Enterprise Cafe

The Nook by Lift is a social enterprise café located at The Public Library on the Traditional Territory of the Tla’amin Nation People that encapsulates inclusion, dismantles stigma, and builds connection with our most vulnerable community members. We work side by side in the kitchen using a mentorship setting to build confidence, share skills, and gain experiences. By participating in practical life, customer service and food security skills, we work to create bridges between self and community using coffee and food as a vehicle for social change. Our mission alongside social connection and inclusion is one of reducing waste. By creating a full circle loop within our current local food system, we divert produce from waste into a resource for our kitchens and community based programs.
